LOCATIONS / DATA AND COVERAGE
Clear geography.
Honest numbers.
How the city list is selected, where every number comes from, and what the numbers do and do not mean.
824 cities
The directory includes every row of the U.S. Census Bureau’s Vintage 2025 ranked population table (SUB-IP-EST2025-ANNRNK) with a July 1, 2025 estimate of at least 50,000. It follows that table’s geography, including consolidated-city balances. It is primarily incorporated places, so it is not a list of every census-designated place, township, county or metro area above 50,000. Common names are used where they are clearer — New York City, Honolulu, Nashville — and populations refer to the city itself, not the surrounding region.
Every state has a page
There are 51 state and District of Columbia pages. Vermont and West Virginia have no city at the 50,000 cutoff; their pages still explain how to start an engagement there.
Metro areas and business counts
Each city is placed in a metro area by locating its Census reference point with the Census Geocoder. Business counts come from the Census Bureau’s 2023 County Business Patterns: the number of establishments with 50 to 99, 100 to 249 and 250 to 499 employees, added together. An establishment is one physical business location, so a company with several sites counts several times. Sector figures appear only where the Census Bureau publishes all three size classes for that sector; suppressed cells are left out rather than estimated.
Nearby cities
Nearby-city links use straight-line distance between Census 2025 Gazetteer reference points. They are not driving times, travel charges or service boundaries.
What the numbers do not say
Population and business counts describe the local economy. They do not establish demand for any particular company, the return on any project, or anything about ikonic303’s clients. Workflow examples on city pages are illustrations, not case studies.
How ikonic303 works across locations
ikonic303 is based in Colorado and has no branch offices. Measurement happens on site at the client’s location, the build is remote, and launch is on site again. Engagements are priced against the measured cost of the workflow; there is no price list. Security testing requires a signed scope. Nobody can guarantee search rankings or AI citations, and these pages do not.
